Glo Derma is a registered provider of the Vampire® procedures, or platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments, which involve drawing a patient’s blood to isolate the platelet rich plasma. PRP treatments are so effective because they use a high concentration of platelets to produce collagen naturally, stimulate cellular growth, and repair damaged tissues.
platelet rich plasma treatments
One of the most effective ways to control skin damage, microneedling is an innovative alternative to laser rejuvenation, challenging the skin to renew itself. Designed to stimulate the natural process of collagen and elastin synthesis, microneedling plumps, renews, reconstructs, and smoothes skin.
It works especially well for scars, large pores, hyperpigmentation, and lax skin.
Using a combination of microneedling with PRP allows your body to repair itself. The platelets further stimulate collagen and elastin growth and increase the effectiveness of the microneedling required for the most effective rejuvenation. The Vampire Facial improves your skin’s texture, tone, elasticity, pore size, acne scars, and overall appearance of skin. Your skin will feel tighter, GLO with color, and and feel smoother for a more youthful and natural look.
Vampire Facial® with PRP injections
For additional skin revitalization, PRP is re-injected throughout the face after the Vampire Facial to erase wrinkles and create a fuller, more youthful appearance.
Vampire Facelift ®
The non-surgical facelift using a combination of PRP injections and hyaluronic derma fillers injections into strategic areas of the face to smoothe wrinkles, add youthful volume and improve the tone and texture of skin. Results can be seen immediately, with continued benefit of skin rejuvenation lasting for up to one year after the procedure.
PRP Hair Restoration
A non-surgical treatment in which PRP is injected into strategic areas of the scalp to stimulate hair growth and thinning hair by using the body’s own platelets in which stem cells and hair follicles are activated. Effects are gradual, and the benefits are most noticeable after 6-9 months of treatment. Benefits include blood supply to the scalp and improved hair growth/thickness.
What downtime can I expect with Vampire or PRP treatments?
Some redness and swelling may be experienced after the vampire or PRP facial treatments, but should start to gradually subside within 24 – 48 hours. However, individual results may vary.
Are the PRP/Vampire procedures painful?
The procedures are minimally invasive. A light topical numbing is applied to make the experience more comfortable.
How long is the treatment?
The vampire and PRP procedures take approximately 45 min – 1 hour. This includes the blood draw as well as treatment time.
How long do results last?
Individual results will vary and maintenance is key. PRP and Vampire treatments are not one-off procedures. In order to maintain results, periodic ongoing maintenance is required to restore youthful benefits.
For vampire and PRP face procedures, results can last up to one year with a good skincare regimen and lifestyle choices (ie. no smoking, no tanning, and proper diet).
